ECHO received a $35,000 Daniels Fund grant to support its Emergency Food Bank programs. “The grant will enable our program to obtain and distribute additional fresh produce and non-perishable foods to households in need and to help support our hunger relief program partners’ efforts”, said Vicki Metheny, ECHO Food Programs Director. “This will also support our remote site distributions throughout northwest New Mexico, assisting vulnerable seniors and children in the most rural parts of our county”, continued Metheny.
The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program and ethics initiative.
